About Robin

“I grew up in a working class family raised by my mother, a hairdresser and my father, a mechanic. My parents taught me that even though we didn’t have much, everything we did have was earned. I put myself through college often working two or three jobs, and before long I found that I had a knack for crunching numbers and managing budgets. I went on to spend 30 years as an accountant, a decade in each public, corporate and now as a small business owner here in Dutchess County. I have experience in all aspects of accounting including: personal, non-profit, corporate tax returns, sales tax, payroll, and auditing. My corporate experience includes cost accounting, system implementation, best practice assessment reporting, and project management. Here in Dutchess County I’m raising my two children with my husband Dale in the Town of LaGrange. I am co-owner of two small businesses in Dutchess County, a commercial property management group in Wappingers Falls and a sport & racquet club in Hopewell Junction. After working in all different genres of accounting and business I felt a need to use my skills and knowledge of accounting in public service. That is why I ran to be your Dutchess County Comptroller in 2017. It has been an honor and a privilege to work for you, the residents of Dutchess County, to ensure our tax dollars are safeguarded and the county is as efficient as possible.”
